An old, lost favourite.
1000 copies, handmade cover, sold it along with a few others to facilitate a cross-country move a long while ago, and now thanks to the magic of the internet etc etc etc but minus the cork and metal mesh cover, not to mention the Japanese phone sex ad as insert. Track 2 (“Channel 4”) made it into many a mixtape/ambientnoiseclusterfuck DJ set and will continue to do so.
[Which reminds me: December Mixtape forthcoming; having Traktor issues and I want it to be a proper mix a la the previous Dronecast. Once that gets sorted, it’ll be go.]

Might I add that similar to another fave from that time period, namelyMerzbow’s Music for Bondage Performance I (and II), it’s not a barrage of harsh noise- more nuanced a la Zoviet:France and like some of Throbbing Gristle’s work, there’s an odd energy to it: the sense of a trapdoor to our own drives being lifted, the energy of repressed id being exposed and spilled onto disc.
